"For us, the experience of birth and parenthood was one of newfound empowerment – a reminder of our capacity to create, and a spark that ignited a new zest and passion in us both. It was with this feeling in our minds and hearts, amidst the chaos and magic of those newborn days, that we dreamt up the idea for Dôen (MK’s son Julian was only two weeks old when we first drafted our plan for the business!).

As we have navigated the parallel journeys of raising our kids and growing our business throughout the years, we have often found ourselves with hands full, joyfully juggling it all. In our busiest moments, Ergobaby’s carriers have truly been a godsend: a practical and invaluable gift that in so many ways aligned with the vision of parenthood to which have always aspired. The carriers awarded us the freedom to hold both parenthood and career together as one, carrying our babies close every step of the way. From MK’s first trip out of the house to take Julian to the beach, to KK’s very first solo-with-a-baby trip to France for our Fall 2019 photoshoot in France, Ergobaby has been there to support us through some of our greatest milestones as parents and as business owners.
