Australian Field Wanderings with Anna Feller and Banjo
We love exploring and celebrating all the different aspects of and approaches to motherhood. We think that the beauty of motherhood is that we all have our own unique approaches to it while remaining so connected by our shared experiences. Motherhood is an imperfect art, where we all are reborn ourselves, figuring out who we are in this new role and relationship. There is something simple but incredibly compelling about watching how Anna Feller’s motherhood and work take shape; it feels effortless and utopian, not precious or pretentious, but instead wild, natural, vibrant, and casual. Following along with her website and and social media has stirred up a deep curiosity in us about her Australian lifestyle - it inspires us as we plan future family visits and work trips out that way. (It doesn’t hurt that her site Wilder shares a name with my oldest son.)
Take one look at Wilder by Anna Feller and you will inevitably find yourself reading every single thing. Anna wandered the globe as a model and student before finally settling in Bondi Beach with her son Banjo. Her focus is on nourishment - of the body, soul, eyes - and that spirit threads through Wilder. Inspiring articles and beautiful imagery feature on pages scattered with bits of pressed flowers, making the site feel like the diary you always wanted to keep on your bedside table. Having been raised in close contact with nature, eating whole foods out of her mother's garden, Anna continues this lifestyle with her son Banjo while sharing what she’s learned with the rest of us through Wilder. See beautiful images of Anna and Banjo shot by the talented Daniella Rech and check out her website for more insights into the Wilder outlook and approach to life.
