Dancing at the Disco
For the sixth year, we hosted our annual holiday fundraiser to benefit our longtime partner Planned Parenthood LA. We were so thrilled when actors and good friends Busy Philipps and Michelle Williams agreed to co-host alongside Margaret and Katherine. On Wednesday night we gathered in our holiday-slash-disco best at La Dolce Vita in Beverly Hills (a new-ish spot with Old Hollywood vibes) for an evening full of laughter, tarot card readings, and our very first silent auction with all proceeds going back to PPLA.
Phoebe’s husband Justin Lucas played DJ—our unofficial DJ of record for every party since we launched—and got everyone onto the dance floor with Donna Summers’ “Last Dance.” Classic Italian small bites were passed, and wine and beer flowed generously all night thanks to our friends Sophie James and Open, while a tabletop Negroni fountain proved to be a hit. As for the aforementioned spaghetti? It appeared at promptly 8:30 pm for a family-style table service refuel amidst the fun, which continued with more dancing well into the night.
“Planned Parenthood was there for me when I was 15 years old and very terrified. I vowed to myself in that moment that I would do everything in my power to always be there for Planned Parenthood.”
