The DÔEN Scrapbook

A Shift in Season

As Summer slips away and the first hints of autumn glimmer on the horizon—the light shifting, the days growing shorter—we’re savoring the fleeting magic of this most precious time of year. A brief yet bountiful bridge between seasons, it offers a richness all its own—see below for a few of our favorite ways to relish the season’s delights.

Styling Notes

The art of dressing through a season in transition is often hard to master. Below, a few bits of inspiration from the styling on our Fall campaigns.

Texture Play

The pairing of soft cashmere and alpaca-wool knitwear against light, buttery silk feels like a decadent formula so perfectly suited to this in-between-season. A recent favorite of Katherine’s has been our cashmere Cameron Cardigan and Damia Vest paired with the lace-trimmed silk Elowette Skirt—both rendered in a rich, earthy brown.

A Nod to Equestrian

Our Riviera Boot—designed with inspirations of classic equestrian style—returns with Fall in a supple Tobacco Suede, and we styled it with everything from denim to silks on our Fall shoot.

Autumn Additions

The finishing touches to our Fall repertoire: slender belts cinched at the waist of a sweater or dress for a touch of ‘60s-inspired shape, Collegien’s ribbed cashmere socks, and Wolford’s cozy merino-blend tights.

QUINLEY DRESS

"There it was, the first edge of autumn, sharp on the air. The smell of dry grass, of apples fallen and left to sweeten in the sun."

- Wallace Stegner, Angle of Repose

Devotions

One of Mary Oliver’s most cherished collections of poetry, equal parts expansive and contemplative—a perfect complement to the season of change
