Occasion Dressing with Anny Choi

When it comes to occasion dressing, stylist and former Vogue editor Anny Choi gravitates towards thoughtful yet understated details—a playful cutout, rhinestone buttons, romantic lace. She also shares an essential piece of advice: “You want to make sure that what you put together still feels like you—but don’t be afraid to try something new, and have fun!” With that principle in mind, we asked Anny—whose eye we’ve always admired—to put together a handful of party-ready looks from our Spring collection.

Slip Away

“The DÔEN Heirloom Maisie Dress is the perfect amount of sheer. Wear it out to dinner in the city, or bring it on vacation to throw over a bathing suit. I styled it over a lace bra and high-waisted briefs—though you could also layer it over a pale blue slip dress for a pop of color.”

A Corset Feel

“The Alana Top is so versatile—it’s a great beach cover-up, and you can wear it to dinner with a slip skirt or on date night with jeans. It’s a little Westworld and a little Victorian—sweet but also sexy!”

Sheer Romance

“I love playing with textures—layering the lace Regina Top over the DÔEN Heirloom Saoirse Dress adds depth, making this look special enough for a courthouse wedding, bridal shower, or garden party. You can take the look apart, too, wearing each piece on its own.”

Boudoir-Inspired

“These silky separates are so fun and easy to style. The DÔEN Heirloom Elowen Skirt can be easily dressed up or down—and the Elise Top is so pretty you’ll never want to take it off!”
