Description of Duties
Title: QC/ Repair Specialist
Classification: Non-Exempt
Pay Range*: $19.00/hr-$21.00/hr
Location: Carson, CA
Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00AM-2:30PM (with some required Saturdays on an as needed basis)
DÔEN is looking for a dynamic and experienced QC/ Repair Specialist to join our growing team in our distribution center located in Carson, California. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Domestic QC Manager & Production Tailor with incoming production review and to ensure the integrity of garments make it to market as intended. The ideal candidate will review specifications of all incoming shipments from vendors and perform quality inspection and repairs as needed. This role will report any major specifications out of tolerance and quality observations from received shipments to the appropriate departments. Attention to detail and maintaining high-Quality Standards are important to this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct incoming shipment/delivery inspection of points of measure on garments and spec'ing.
Manage quality inspections on all product lines and cartons received from production.
Ensure product quality standards are maintained at the site level.
Perform in-house repairs.
Assist with providing accurate and timely reporting ensuring record keeping and filing is correct, updated, and consistent. Make sure that all records are following procedures.
Assist technical design and production team as needed on special projects/requests.
Report specification measurement issues found immediately to assigned supervisor.
Support the Distribution Manager and Warehouse Manager with pulling incoming units from production for spec’ing and Quality inspection.
Support to oversee training of Warehouse Staff performing quality inspections.
Support Returns Processor on specification requirements, and quality inspection of repaired items returned from the Dôen designated dry cleaning/repair facility.
Maintain knowledge of all procedures and changes to specifications related to areas of responsibilities.
Communicate with cross-functional departments via email or telecommunication as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum, 2-3 years sewing and/or quality control experience.
Understanding and experience with points of measure on garments and spec'ing to perform QC to ensure measurements are correct for women and children’s apparel.
Comfortable with sewing machines and related equipment. Full knowledge of sewing techniques and sewing machine components.
Must be able to perform basic math and excel skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
Great attention to detail and a result-driven approach with excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
Reliable and trustworthy with the ability to work as a collaborative team member and independently.
Must be able to Multitask.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation.
Regularly Lift and move objects up to 25lbs.
Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally required to climb or balance.
Able to walk, sit and stand for periods of time.
Able to operate equipment such as computers, scanners, copy machines, phones.
