I was lucky enough to catch Noot visiting from NY on a beautiful sunny California January day. After lunch together at Topanga Table Noot, Kass, and I hiked Muschi Trail. Both Noot and Kassia are a huge source of inspiration for me. In addition to both being incredible athletes, they are both creatives and business owners. Noot and Kassia have been long time friends, and it was great to be able to be together and talk life – past, present, future. While Noot grew up shooting and fencing in Canada, Kass and I have always bonded over our childhood introduction to surfing through California Junior Lifeguards. Kassia was able to channel her love of the ocean into an incredible professional long boarding career. Noot and Kass are both incredible surfers, and being on the water with them together feels like bearing witness to something truly magical. These women have both also managed to create successful business that in addition to being self-proclaimed mermaids. Noot is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Frends Head Phones.   In addition to surfing, Kass established herself as a super talented lifestyle photographer and also owns and runs her wetsuit company, Kassia+Surf from her downtown LA studio.
